The French edition of the „Gemeinwohl-Ökonomie“ has been launched in September by the renowned French publisher Dunod. A first edition was launched as early as 2011 by Actes Sud, but that was obviously too early, and the title chosen „Économie citoyenne“ did not convince the French audience. Now, the title has been aligned with other languages: „Pour une économie du bien commun“ is more connected to „Economy for the Common Good“ or „Economía del bien común“.
At the same time, it differs slightly from Jean Tirole’s „Économie du bien commun“ which was released in 2018, but with quite a different content. On the occasion of the French launch, the content of the book has been completely updated.
