Nov 12, 2026: Print version
This new book ist a completely updated, revised, and expanded version of the earlier English version of Christian Felber’s Change Everything. Creating an Economy for the Common Good (ZED Books 2015). The author revisits his groundbreaking model after years of refinement. Since its first launch in 2010, the initiative based on this revolutionary blueprint has grown to a broad international movement driven by thousands of people, companies, communities and organizations. Jointly, they offer practical tools for policy makers who struggle with the polycrisis all over the globe.
In addition to copious real-world examples and a foreword by Dirk Philipsen, this completely rewritten edition includes new chapters on ethical world trade, social security, and tax justice, as well as a large number of figures, boxes, and tables that Felber has developed for his international appearances. Most importantly, the proposal for a “sovereign democracy” opens a pathway to overcome the current crisis of representative democracies, building on a new level of citizen participation and co-determination.

“At a time where mainstream economics has lost its moral direction, Christian Felber offers a compelling alternative… A practical, democratic blueprint for rebuilding economic life around human dignity, cooperation, ecological responsibility and the common good. As the manifesto of a living movement, it deserves to become the foundational text for the next economy.”
Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett, Professors of Social Epidemiology and authors of The Spirit Level and The Inner Level
