Genossenschaft für Gemeinwohl (Cooperative for Common Good) and Umweltcenter (Environment Center) kick off cooperation: Since the rejection of a banking license by the Financial Market Authority (FMA), the Genossenschaft für Gemeinwohl (GfG) worked hard on its realignment. In cooperation with the Umweltcenter of Raiffeisenbank Gunskirchen (Upper Austria), the first milestone was realized: the Common Good account for members.
The Common Good Account is an ethical alternative to existing checking accounts on the market. The environmental guarantee obligates the center to use all investments exclusively for financing ecological and social projects. Besides a strict legal bank inspection, the environmental guarantee is monitored by an external auditor every year.
